Pianist Milana Strezeva breaks new ground for CAPA by teaming up this year with Baritone Anton Belov for a season opening, November 17, 2017 program of Russian and Italian Art Songs.
Milana, a founding member of the award-winning Manhattan Piano Trio, performed with it across the US, in Australia, South Africa and Italy, and in Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Hall, and the Ravinia Festival. The Trio has been reviewed as “impressive” and “outstanding,” while another said “one seldom is privileged to enjoy music of such a wide range of styles performed with self-effacing skill and relaxed assurance.”
Anton Belov is a native of Russia and a graduate of the Juilliard Opera Center, he is equally at home with opera, oratorio and concert repertoire. Mr. Belov presented more than sixty recitals appearing at such venues as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center and is First Place winner of eight vocal competitions including the George London Competition, the Young Concert Artists International Competition and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.
