The Trio in D minor is one of Mendelssohn’s most popular chamber works and is recognized as one of his greatest.
Paul Schoenfield said, “The idea to compose Café Music came in 1985 after sitting in for the trio’s pianist at Murray’s Restaurant in Minneapolis. I wanted to write a kind of high-class dinner music that could be played at a restaurant, but might find its way into a concert hall.
“Stairway to Heaven” is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released in late 1971. It was composed by guitarist Jimmy Page and vocalist Robert Plant and is one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
Ming Gao, associate concertmaster for the Naples Philharmonic. Gao is currently first violinist of the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra of New York and a guest violin professor of Nanjing Conservatory of Music. Gao has been a soloist with the Naples Philharmonic, Orchestra Nova, Nanjing Experimental and Jiang Su Provincial Symphony Orchestras.
Si-Cheng Liu, cellist, has played with the San Jose Symphony Orchestra, the MOSSPAC Chamber Orchestra, the Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Nova, the Youngstown Symphony Orchestra and the Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra. Liu is on the faculty at FSW State College, FGCU and CSN, teaching cello, string orchestra.
Richard Bosworth, pianist, is an internationally experienced recitalist, soloist, chamber musician, recording artist and competitor. Richard competed in Moscow at the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition and was a semifinalist at both the Beethoven Klavierwettbewerb in Vienna and the Pretoria Competition in South Africa.
