Debut of a new composition by local composer Alexander Goldstein plus, “Trio on the Roof” for violin, clarinet and piano, based on Jerry Boch’s “Fiddler on the Roof”, in four movements.
Alexander Goldstein was born into a family of Bolshoi Orchestra musicians. He completed his music education by graduating at The Gnessin Academy of Music (Moscow) with a Master’s Degree in Conducting and French Horn.
He started composing music in 1976 in Moscow and made his orchestral debut at 18. He composed music scores for 27 feature films, approximately 300 documentaries, countless radio and television shows, animations, commercials, sports programs, circus and stage shows in the US and abroad. Among his credits are instrumental music for various ensembles and orchestras, songs and music for theater and stage. Over 40 Olympic Medals and over 120 World Medals were won using the music that he either edited or arranged. He has made music programs for hundreds of Olympic, World, European and National winners including numerous Olympic Gold and Silver Medalists and World Championship Medalists.
Daniela Shtereva (left) was born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She continues a preserved musical tradition of five generations. Her performances have been described as “spine tingling” (The STRAD Magazine) and “shot through with fantasy and fire” (Washington Post).
Alexandra Carlson (middle) excels as a chamber musician and soloist, winning prizes at the Maria Yudina International Piano Competition (Russia) and the “Hopes, Talents, Masters” Competition (Bulgaria). She performed Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” with the Naples Orchestra.
Ashley R. Leigh, (right) has performed with the National Orchestral Institute, the International Festival-Institute at Round Top, Musica Riva Festival (Italy) and the Tanglewood Festival. Ashley was awarded the grand prize at the 2006 Buffet-Crampon Young Artists Clarinet Competition in New York.
